Who we are

UAB ,,Baltijos polistirenas“ was a family-owned company founded in 2002. From mid of 2018 it is owned by private person and two investment companies, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. The company brand name and logo was changed to BalPol.

What we do

Balpol is a manufacturer of thermal insulation materials. The company can offer a wide range of products, from conventional building polystyrene foam to complex multilayer boards with polyisocyanurate (PIR) and mineral wool (MW) fillers. The company offers sustainable insulation solutions that will speed up the construction process, which will be safe and efficient.

History

2020
BalPol received EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) – internationally recognized, third-party verified declaration, representing the environmental impact of our products.
2018
The company branding changed to BalPol.
2018
Ownership of the company changed - today BalPol is owned by a private person and two investment companies, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania.
2017
The company received Gold Medal at the Lithuanian Product of the Year Awards 2017 for sandwich panels TINKA.
2017
The additional modern line for production of grey EPS was purchased and installed. This investment allowed us to separate white and grey EPS lines.
2017
Our self-supporting double skinned metal faced insulating panels received Certificate of constancy of performance No. 1397-CPR-0541.
2017
The brand name TINKA for sandwich panels was registered.
2015
A state-of-the-art factory for the production of sandwich panels with PIR and MW core opened in Utena, Lithuania. Such product allowed us to expand our sales map to Nordic countries.
2012
A new facility of decorative ornaments made out of EPS using 3D cutting machinery launched. This improvement helps us to fulfil every EPS based customer’s dream.
2010
A step to an unexplored field of office furniture was made by building a brand-new factory, which was successfully sold the same year.
2008
Modernisation steps were made while purchasing new equipment for EPS slabs production.
2006
The EPS brand IZOPOROS was registered.
2005
A new modern facility for the production of EPS packaging opened. Our sales map expanded to all Baltic States.
2004
The company obtained EN ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 14001:2004 certificates.
2003
The company became a member of The Lithuanian Expanded Polystyrene Association.
2002
UAB Baltijos polistirenas was founded as a producer of EPS slabs for building insulation. All of our products were mainly sold in Lithuania.
